FINAL MITE EVALUATIONS
We've had a lot of fun the past three weeks but the kids have also worked very hard and it has showed in their on-ice improvement. We want to thank everyone for being on time and for the overall excellent attendance. This has made for very productive practices and a great opportunity to assess the relative abilities of all the players. During final evaluations this coming weekend we will select one A team, two B teams and eight In-House teams. The pool assignments and ice times for the final evaluations are listed below.
A/B Pool: The A team will be selected from this pool. Players not selected will be placed on one of two B teams.
B/In-House Pool: The balance of the players for the two B teams will be selected from this pool. Players not selected will be placed on one of eight In-House teams.
In-House Pools: The number designations for these pools are of no significance other than to distinguish between the two groups. Players in these pools will be placed on one of eight In-House teams. During the final evaluation we will continue to assess the general ability of each player and use that information to balance the In-House teams as much as possible.

Join Mini-Mites!
Mini-Mites is a great introductory hockey program for boys and girls ages 4-7 years old. It is a "learn-to-skate" program that also will cover basic hockey skills. Minis typically skate one hour every Saturday and Sunday. There are no formal games but Mini-Mites do play some inter-squad scrimmages later in the season. The season begins around November 1st and will run through the middle of February.

Mite Pond Hockey (3v3) Games
Effective this year Minnesota District 1 hockey associations have adopted the 3v3 Pond Hockey (half-ice) format for the many of the Mite games to be played this season. Endorsed by USA Hockey, more and more Mite programs around the state and the country are adopting this format in an effort to maximize not only player development but also the enjoyment of players and parents alike.
